@photoman - Yeah, the ugly which pipe is terrific with Halloween coming! You can be a pirate warlock or something and drag her around with you all night! I bet you get offers from folks wanting to buy it right from your mouth!
@rothnh (got lazy finding a name?) - Of course there is an up-charge. Not an issue here mate. I am rather just looking to see what my funds will look like. I have been going pipe crazy lately and I need to be sure things are on solid ground before I dish out the money to quick. I also have thoughts on a few things that I want to mull over prior to committing to the design. Such as a more bulky bottom to the pipe so it can be a sitter? or not? - Round or square shank? Still not sure myself which way to go.
Honestly it's hard to see the Johs Giant in Meer but I think if I leave it as exact as the Johs Giant and Storient makes it that way it may be something of a marvel to those few of us who are passionate about Giant Johs pipes. After all, anyone who knows aromatics can tell you that a big pipe smokes the best with the stuff! I just want to be sure I am getting something that can be practical, fanciful and surly what I want and can afford.
There is also a catch here for me. I have a few requests with online vendors to notify me ASAP when they get any giant Nording sitters/cherrywoods in stock. I will know more about that in two weeks. So that is the other drawback. I think Sotrient will still be in business by that time but the Briar Giants move fast when they are sitters, especially at the prices some of these online vendors are selling them for. But (in case Storient comes by this thread again) I will NOT buy a JOHS GIANT before I get the Storient version with the blue 10" stem.
