That hole looks big enough as it is. Ya might wanna just smoke folded flakes out of it. That way nothing can get in there and clog it up .....

If I understand the problem correctly now, I think your bowl wasn't drilled deep enough.

I would use the drill press (ask a friend if you don't have one) and drill the bowl deeper

as shown in the second drawing. "Set the depth block so you don't drill to deep".

Didn"t realize the hole is in the middle of the pipe, no hope for that hole will always plug, only hope is to drill a hole at a 45 deg angle closer to the inside bottom rim and connect to draft hole, and condem the middle hole, plug her up. The old cajun

That makes perfect sense TopD and I will do exactly that just have tp find a friend with a drill press!
