Yeah, it's not rib, and hard to hold down without a ton of BBQ sauce and onions, it's a damned annual tradition to stuff my face with this stuff.
McRib is back!
McRib is back!
yeah everything about them seems wrong yet they're pretty awesome. Though it's basically just pork scraps pressed into a shape with meat glue. My understanding is a large part of if it's available or not is mostly based on the current price of pork. Like if it falls bellow a certain point boom mc rib.Yeah, it's not rib, and hard to hold down without a ton of BBQ sauce and onions, it's a damned annual tradition to stuff my face with this stuff.

I never got into taco bell. I always felt sorta neutral about them. Only good experience I had there was trying one of everything off the menu for free. Me and a friend went to the local one at like 2am or something. And a kid we knew was working and he said it was his last day. It was his last day there (he wasn't dying, he's got like kids and a family and career now) because he was the only person scheduled and that's was lame. After taking our order he casually asked what we'd order if it was all free. I said one of everything and yeah that's what he gave each of us, and for free. Felt like a small fine for letting a teenager work alone in a location that has been robbed a few times (not really a thing that happened where I lived much). After that I think I have eaten there twice and thought it was tasty and that I'd need about five times what I ate to stop being hungry. It is akin to taco bell. Generally worthless but is the cure to a culinary itch that only it can scratch. lol
I think that's pretty much the same thing. I think if I remember correctly the process for making that particular product was developed for the U.S. Army and at one time was a legally protected product (patented). And I forget why it was not sold in the U.K. anymore, but it wasn't because it wasn't selling enough. Hey it was ten years ago I went down the Mc Rib rabbit hole.I've never had nor seen a McRib so had a quick look on Wiki.
I seem to recall something very similar sold over here in supermarkets in the 1980's. They were frozen and if I recall came in boxes of four.
I liked them served with beans (Heinz of course) and chips (French fries). They were really good, however, if you looked at the ingredients list you'd likely never eat another one .
No idea what happened to them nor even what they were called but they were very popular at the time. then suddenly they disappeared.
Jay.
Agree on needing 5x and it being tasty. I love it but there is no nutrient density with their grub. Still, I could go for five or ten Mexican pizzas right now…I never got into taco bell. Not when you factor in the cost of coronary bypass surgery.and for free
Wonder if McD have them in the UK? We have the NHS for the surgery. Not when you factor in the cost of coronary bypass surgery.
Holds true for most processed foods.if you looked at the ingredients list you'd likely never eat another one
Lighten up Francis.Ahh yes, good old Murica'.
Aren't we the most obese (aka Fatassed) country in the world? If so, Congrats!
A country were humans drool over, crave and consume nothing but trash - and get truly excited talking about it and eating it. An even bigger issue is raising young babies, toddlers and children exposing them to fast food and other non-foods that a parent can just pop in the microwave. Early in life, they develop their tastebuds and acquire a true liking for non-nutritional toxic garbage. These poor little kids are conditioned as soon as they can pop down a cute bunch of "nuggies." Food addicts in the makings. Give them a toy too.
I use to to work with younger guys and they would discuss McDonalds, Taco Bell, Arbys, etc. They would talk and go into detail as if it were gourmet high-end cuisine. Same for those disgusting Hot Pocket things and similar microbomb garbage packages in the frozen freezer sections..
Go to a lot of other countries where they eat REAL food, it's very different. . I've had relatives from Italy come here and they get repulsed by the trash that's here...and astonished by how many people consume it.
But Bon appetit'...
And a disclaimer needs to be added (in these newage snowflaked times) This is just one mans opinion, don't get buttsore .
edit: I'm 67 years old now and have noticed another sad thing, Not many women (or men) cook anymore. Some don't know how to cook nor do they care to learn how.
Must be a regional thing. The heaviest folks I know are around 190. I'm 114, and my wife is 128. Our kids range from 100 to 118.Ahh yes, good old Murica'.

And lets not forget that nastyazz' burnt Starbucks trash that americano people wait in long lines to get overpaid sewer water.
