Mclintock 309 (what is this shape?)

I bought this one from a trusted seller. Pictures are his.
I have no other info of the pipe than what it says on the title. And that it is Irish. I don't even know that does this constitute a "hungarian" shape or is it just a bent billiard. I just liked the shape and the color!
I am planning to smoke me some aromatic with this

Thank you. There is something oom paul-ish there but I guess the shank is not steep enough upwards for that.
Could the stem be a retro fit? Looks like a p-lip to me.

It look like a Peterson shape 309 which they call a Hungarian Bent

It actually looks exactly like a Peterson 309 and has the same number on it

Seems every piece of info I can glean leads to Peterson pipes. That could be the original stem if there are Peterson connections. A p-lip with a 9mm filter appears on a couple of other Mclintocks I saw.

What could these "Peterson connections" be? It seems like this pipe is an exact match to Pete 309. A copy? Seconds? :puffpipe:

1 of the design elements I like about Peterson pipes is their typical thick shanks. But, that is a 3/4 bent billiard. A shape that Peterson had originally referred to as a Dutch billiard.

Someone has written an entire blog article on this shape!
It has been called a bent dutch and a dutch bend and whatnot. I am certainly happy of this acquisition.

It's just where it has the military style mount. The Hungarian and Oom Paul have the near vertical to complete vertical shank.

I can't think of any maker other than Peterson who shapes a billiard with absolutely straight sides. It's like a trademark.
