That's a nice one! What's the material between the shank and stem?
It’s called Fordite, I think it’s a type of ebonite.
True Fordite is layers of auto body paint that dried and "fossilized." (it's removed from the paint rooms of ancient abandoned car factories)
It's probably copied somehow today, though. The real thing is quite rare and expensive.
I don't know why but something in me is telling me that you're making that up. Weird I know but I just can't put my finger on why I just don't buy that. Sorries.
