My condolences JC. As a newbie to the site and to pipe smoking in general. I do not understand all the PA etc abbreviations. Would it be to much to ask that you all use the names so I can learn and have a better idea what to look for when I go to the smoke shop. Thanks

There's another forum thread with abbreviations (I don't know how to post links to other threads, maybe somebody else can chime in?). I'm a newbie too, but part of the journey is learning the "new lingo" including all the abbreviations.
Maybe what this site needs is a wiki area to create pages like a reference of common pipe tobacco brands and their abbreviations...?

Scotty's Old Red, starting to break in my new Il Duca volcano. Earlier, Grant's #2131 (local) with a pinch of C&D Exhausted Rooster in my trusty Savinelli bent billiard.
