French Press. 2 minutes to heat water, 4 minutes to steep then 1 minute to clean. 7 minutes total. Grind beans while water is heating. French press costs $25 or less. Grinder, less than $100. Worth it.
Good to the last drop. That was my father's coffee back in Korea. Instant. Then Choice, I think. Once we came to America, he found this roaster that does hazelnut flavor and drank that for the most of his life. Cheap electric grinder does the job like mine did, and Mr. Coffee drip brew.
Our coffee maker died almost 20 years ago and we replaced it with a French press. We’ll never go back. The press creates a different, fuller, mouthfeel than a traditional maker. There is a higher hassle factor but we put up with it.
They both get the job done and produce different brews. Personal preferences will decide which is best.
