Does anyone have any suggestions for matured virginias with little or no casing. I'm new to the tobacco world and i know that I like this type. Does G.L. Have one? Thanks

McClelland has 5 Matured Virginias (Brown Label). My favorite is #24, but they are all excellent:

I would add my vote for McClelland's Matured blends. The ones I'm buying now are all labeled 2006/2007 so they are all ready to go now or you can store 'em and have an instant cellar.
I like all the blends. I'm currently working on a tin of No. 27 from 2004.
I set aside the Va/Pers and Lat bombs and heavy Perique blends for cooler days. I like straight up VAs, especially in summer. Smooth, sweet, and cool smoking. McClelland tins the Matured series rough cut or broken flake and they smoke great outside. The bigger pieces resist wind heating the bowl so much.

I must agree about the McClelland's VA blends. I was lucky enough to find a couple older tins of their Matured VA's #22 & #24 are both fine smokes, however my personal favorite is Blackwoods Flake.

GLPease has several--

Union Square: From the Fog City Selection, Union Square is a pure, unadultrated blend of virginia tobaccos, pressed and sliced.

Montgomery: A sophisticated Virginia blend consisting of several grades of flue-cured leaf, from soft yellow to deep red. A touch of dark-fired Kentucky leaf adds a little richness. From the Fog City Selection.

Laurel Heights: A deep, rich blend of red Virginia tobaccos. The flavors are round and full, with subtle notes of citrus and roasted oats augmenting a natural sweetness. For the lover of darker, unstoved Virginias. From the Fog City Selection.
Hearth and Home makes several excellent ones, among them Marble Kake.
In fact, pretty much any blender has at least one straight VA in their repertoire; obvious recommendations are McClelland, Cornell & Diehl, Daughters & Ryan, and the above.
