I think a billard is the most professional looking pipe. If I were to smoke a pipe in a business meeting, it would definitely be a billard.

I have 2 Oom Pauls that I absolutely love and my wife says I looks like a Disney villain with them. I have a problem with long pipes personally I think the LOTR and The Hobbit ruined what a long pipe smoker looks like.. Although my wife says she pretty sure I'm a Hobbit.

Since 90% of my pipes are Bulldogs or Rhodies I don't have that problem. I look the same in all of them and besides when you get to this point in life you won't give a damn what you look like. You're just glad to be in this side of the grass.

I've had two girl friends over the years, many years ago, who though the pipe meant I had an "oral fixation." Of course, after two dates they found out I really did. I recall no complaints. Selective memory? Possibly.
