Wanted a Stanwell pipe of the year but can't find one so I'm considering spending a good portion of my first week back at works wages on this beauty. Will be the most I've spent on a pipe .Mrs. Lika doesn't seem happy.

I’ve owned several Mastro de Pajas through the years and they’ve all been great.

Me too. I haven't ordered it but told Mrs. Lika I have. She's not happy .
What is it with these irrational creatures and wanting to moan about smoke and our constant needs to acquire more tobacco and pipes ?
If we didn't carefully acquire pipes and baccy they'd just waste the money on handbags, shoes , makeup, nails varnish and berluudy cushions.
Selfish beast that they are !

I HAD a MdP but it currently lives in 70 feet of water in Chautauqua Lake in Western NY.
A perfect example of why corn cob pipes are great while fishing.
For the few years I had it, it was a great pipe.

I have one Mastro de Paja and its in my weekly rotation.
Mine was a Father's Day gift from my late wife.

Packing a bowl of G&H black cherry twist in the Falcon.
Best smoke I've had today has been Bosun Cut in my Stanwell, absolute perfect smoke .
Hadn't used this pipe much and pretty new ,it's a really good smoker and will be getting more use.
I'll fill up a bowl of it with Bosun Cut to smoke sat down in the carpark at 7.35 tomorrow morning before the work bell goes off at 8.
