Wow. This is really something. We've frequently discussed the growth of the pipe tobacco market, but I never would have thought it would be big enough for smuggling and counterfeiting.

I remember in the early 90s when I was stationed overseas, bootlegging American liquor and tobacco products was a huge industry...which I know nothing about...I promise lol. Except for like, hearsay and stuff.

The problem not noted in comments so far is that the tobacco being shipped out of China this way is being packaged in phoney name brand packaging, and marketed as REAL brand's tobacco.
