Mapacho as Strong as Twist

Mapacho is evidently what the South Americans call Nicotiana Rustica. There are dozens of varieties available so buying from two different sellers might get you two completely different tobaccos. The nic content is high, usually about 9% compared to roughly 3% for Nicotiana Tobaccum (Virginias, Burley).
I'd be hesitant to smoke one like a cigar. It'll probably make your head spin. Smoked in a pipe you could stop any time you wanted to and if you don't finish the bowl you've only wasted about 3g.
Interesting tidbit: Rustica plants growing in the garden absolutely smell like cat pee. You can smell them from 20 feet away. Luckily the smell does not carryover to the final product..
Interesting that Ebay has shut down pipe tobacco sales yet allows Mapacho to be sold.

I grew a variety of rustica a couple of years ago and it's insanely strong stuff!

That's a future gardening project for me too. Unless I am lying on the floor chanting in Enochian, the tobacco is too weak.

A nicotine buzz that hangs on into the next day doesn't sound a lot like nicotine. It may be some other botanical that could well be legal, but notwithstanding, not a good idea. 'Don't think I'll be ordering any.

If you're offering to send samples, I'd love to grab one and maybe compare it to some from another seller, but no biggie if not. I will probably order from a website rather than eBay--not that it makes it necessarily any more reputable, but what you're describing certainly piques my curiosity!

Interestingly, it sounds like this is the next Tambolaka! I always wondered about Tambolaka after reading descriptions... how are people even certain it's tobacco they're smoking? Hah.

Nicotiana rustica, Aztec tobacco or wild tobacco, is a rainforest plant in the Solanaceae family. The high concentration of nicotine in its leaves makes it useful for producing pesticides. Rustica also contrains small amounts of phenethylamine alkaloids, particularly mescaline, the same psychoactive agent found in Peyote (Lophophora williamsii); however, the small quantity of mescaline is generally not significant enough for the onset of major psychoactive effects.
