It's a helluva conundrum we have on our hands.
I'd love to go on a philosophical tear about this, I have a ton of well thought out (I think) opinions on this very matter. I'm sure every one of us does. Nuance is a pain in the ass. But maybe, let's just go back to pipes. We aren't solving this right here. We just ain't.

People, sadly, go crazy. They just do. No universal formula to prevent it. And crazy is unusual, thankfully. And the people who mess up often get caught, or taken in, or cared for, or stopped. Crazy is still more or less... not popular. That's the general pattern and that's encouraging.

Fixing the crazy is a constant discussion. As is defining it. Complicated. Freedom and choice and all that, it comes under consideration. Slippery.

Lets hope the good guy's get him and remove the threat, and then let the law do what the law does.

Not news really. And that's sad too but facts can be discouraging sometimes. Nuff said maybe?

What's next about tobacco and briar? I'm looking forward to Kringle kake..or flake...or whatever it is.

Where would that be sold exactly ??
I own a goodern!

My son bought the upper for $300 from some anonymous guy at a gun show. He’d sold a pistol of mine for $800 to some other guy, and called me and I approved the purchase.

Mine is a 20” Red Star 1” diameter stainless 5.56 NATO chamber. The upper is an uncontrolled gun part.

I’m a law abiding sort, so I filled out a 4473 for the $60 lower receiver at an FFL dealer, and then of course I had to have the combat tested T handle and two ten round and one thirty round magazine and a trigger kit and another parts kit and my friend put it together and it was over $600.

A brand new one ready to go is $600 now.

You have $600 left over for ammo and sights and toys for your AR, before you equal a $1,200 iPhone.

In Missouri and many other states I can sell my AR and all accessories complete, legally face to face with a adult over 18,

There maybe 25 million ARs in the USA.

None are registered.

It is impossible to take them away, even if it was constitutional which it is not.
