Thanks gents. I can't smoke in the house, on account of the kids, so its either outside or in foul weather my garage, which gets mightily cold in the winter. I'm saving up to buy a small cast iron wood burning stove. That would be my dream, to smoke my pipes in front of a crackling fire.

Just moved house my smoking dungeon is gone but now I have a pipe gardenhouse. It needs a bit of work to make it winter proof but I have grand plans....borne of necessity.

I took the dining room of my new house and am converting it to a pipe room. It has a lock and I have the only key. The kitchen is big enough to do double duty. The wife despises me already, so no problem, it couldn't get much worse.

Blueeyed: that is a good motto, with most wives. For years I went out of my way to please this woman, but the more I did for her, the nastier she got. I have finally given up. If I get many more obscene insults from the bitch she will find herself locked out of the house (she has her own apartment elsewhere). It's like having a mad dog.

I've got a Den/Smoking room that used to be part of the porch before it was bricked up and paneled sometime in the late 50's.

I'm chipping away at my MA in English, so a lot of reading and writing happens here. A foam "draft stopper" at the door and a small window fan keeps the rest of the house free of smoke odor.

That horrible Foggy, I'm sorry to hear that. Now I understand the need for a locked sanctuary, sometimes you just need your space! Best thoughts and and good smokes out to you my friend!!

Mine for the last two months has been my garage I started renting (I live in an apartment). Such a good investment after years of smoking outside. Perfect for reading or just staring at my old beetle, and I'm the only one with a key ;)

gtclark, that is very close to my long wanted dream room. I always wanted a study/library room, walls of books and pipes, and maybe a secret passage or two. (For more pipes...)

I do love my den - the only bad part it, it's a rental, so I'll have to leave it behind one day! I've determined I will re-create this room when we eventually buy a house. Now that I've had it, I don't think I could live without it!

Hey gtclark,
That sir, is one hell of a smoking room! I like the secretary desk and built in book shelves. Everything looks nice dark and smoky.
PS - Best of all... no TV. Just quiet contemplation and maybe a good book or album.

I'm only 20, and still live with my parents. I guess my room would be my man cave. I've got my computer, pipes/tobacco, TV, video games(I'm a huge gamer), and an arm chair. The downsides are I can't smoke in the house, and my walls are purple with flower wall paper. The walls don't bother me, and I'm too lazey to take everything out of my room to repaint them.

Very nice man caves gentleman.
My man cave is my unfinished basement. I've got a pool table, ping pong table, dart board and poker table. Although the poker table is really my pipe table. Covered with pipe racks and pipe tools and jars of tobacco that I'm smoking.
plus a couple rubbermaid tubs full of mason jars. So I usually shoot pool or throw some darts while smoking. Plus it's not as cold as being outside or in the garage.
