I was wondering if any members have tried this tobacco. I bought a can but hasn't arrived yet. Right now I'm on a can of Petersons early morning. I'm finishing up a tin of Mc Barrens regular 7 seas, it's ok . But I'm getting into more English blends now. Thanks.

It's good, but it's by no means a "pure" English, you'll notice a sweetish topping through the whole bowl I think. So it might be just the perfect cross-over for you from aromatics proper. It's not a challenging blend like some of the "bigger" Pease blends (Abingdon, etc).
Yes. It’s a really nice blend. English with a little twist. There is a hint of ginger or similar spice. It’s not overpowering at all. Unique is what I would say. I like tobaccos with different flavors and varieties, but not aros so much. This is not A heavily flavored blend from what I recall.

I liked it quite a bit when I first smoke it but later found it to be just okay. But I'm not a latakia fan either.
There was so much praise, I had to try. GLP blends are generally awesome. But it just wasn't for me. Can't even remember what it was about that didn't do it for me. I wouldn't say it was too heavily topped or anything. Maybe the Lat in it wasn't strong enough. Been awhile.
It's brother in the Noir genre Key Largo (yeah he said it's named after the movie, not the place. which the movie is named after so in a way....) is one of my favorites. But the only way you can really tell how much you like something is to try it. Ask can help but I find if I feel super curious about a blend I might as well try it, because I'll keep being curious till I do.
It’s a great blend but everyone has a different idea of great. I think even if it’s not your favorite, you will be glad you tried it.
I recieved the Maltease today. I tried it in the new Savinelli Churchwarden for the first smoke. It was a little milder than the Peterson early morning, less of the cigarett smell then the Peterson. All in all it wasn't that bad for the first time out of the can. I just have to get use to the English blends not to be as sweet as the 7 seas I have been smoking. But it was good. I love the pipe, what a cool smoke it gave. Now for the next new pipe. lol

I was referring to the frequent misspelling of “Maltese,” which is even repeated in the thread title. (I do realize it was purposely misspelled once in this thread as a joke.)

if anyone wants to find out more about the blend they can start a thread about it. Or find the answer across multiple resources and search engines seem to find this thread even with worse spellings of the blends name....
