The Blue Room listing for this pipe stated that they were also unable to identify the maker.Easy answer:
Ping Jesse at Blue Room. If he listed it he'll definitely know what he took in to sell (or re-sell).
Also, if the logo is laser-etched (it could be, now that you mention it) that would reduce the number of possible makers by a LOT. Those gadgets are spendy and take up a lot of shop space.
Speaking of Jesse, the whole pipe photo looks like something he could have made. (The button is distinctive, and that's his bamboo technique). If the pipe in the logo is supposed to be a "J", it would be a hella coincidence. Hmmm...
Yeah, my thoughts exactly. Certainly not a novice. I was so intrigued by the mystery I bought the pipe, hahaha. Figured even if I never find out, it looks pretty damn well made, so what the hell.Crazy
Whoever made it wasn't a beginner or hobby-block carver. Lots of experience and skill on display there.
And the majority of guys at that level know each other. At least by name and rep.
Hmmm...
So now I'm thinkin' you MIGHT be a PhotoShop wizard that Kevin is paying to start "mystery threads" to keep the site's click rate up...
You didn't happen to grow up in Humansville Missouri, did you?
The only mystery is where did it all go ?Maker's Mark Mystery
And I thought that this thread was going to be about Bourbon whiskey![]()
Well that liquor in the nighttime leaves strange memories...After half a bottle of Makers Mark, everything is a mystery.
Marketing, marketing and more marketing. The owners wanted a very distinctive mark!I came here to find out why the bottle tops are sealed with red wax. The Maker's Mark mystery continues...
I was sure that I had it. I really was wishing you struck gold brother.MYSTERY SOLVED!
Sorry @J-Evverrett , as much as I would love it to be a J Alan, it is actually made by:
Anatoly Sibiryatkin
Huge thanks to @ultralightlunter who recognized the stamp from his own collection!
At the price I bought this for, I pretty much did regardless, haha.I was sure that I had it. I really was wishing you struck gold brother.
