That's one heck of an order for a try! Looking forward to getting your thoughts on them.

Bagpiper's Dream is my favorite. However, I put mine in a noodle press for a few weeks so the flavors could meld together real well and so now I have a hockey puck that I just tear away enough to rub out and fill my pipe. Absolutely delicious! Definitely an after dinner dessert smoke, but I smoke it any time since I can't wait till after dinner

I think I’ve got 4 or 5 of those Old Gowrie cans; one of my all time favorites. Have you got any updates about smoking it more or trying the others?
I haven't tried any others yet. I'm going to try Bagpiper's Dream this afternoon as my reward for spending the day painting the fence. I'll report back.

I had two "ships" headed for my dock. One from Country Squire and one from Watch City. They both arrived yesterday so hopefully I will have enough to make it through this weekend................

Now, I can start planning on what I need to order for next week.......
I hope you survive! Haha.

Very nice order. I'd say it puts mine to shame. What blends did you get from the Country Squire?

Ha, you are right. It will take me a year to work through these.....

From the Country Squire I got some more Faulkner Flake. A pure Virginia that I really love and two new ones: Wessex Gold Brick VA plug and some Angry Cornishman. The latter is supposed to be a very Latakia heavy English. We shall see.

I’m finally giving some of the Rattray’s blends a try! I watched Hobbiton Piper’s video on Old Gowrie and was inspired to order it. While I was at it, I figured I should add a more few of their blends … you know, for comparison’s sake. They showed up today and I can’t wait to try them all. Which one should I start with?View attachment 316247
You skipped the Brown Clunee!? Everyone can have the rest - BC is the clear favorite in my world.

I recently ordered all four of these Rattray's blends. Hal O' the Wynd is the clear winner for me.
I'm going back and forth between Old Gowrie and Brown Clunnee over which one takes second place, but I'm leaning toward OG.
Only problem is they seem to have spoiled me for everything I'd enjoyed previously.
I've almost completely lost interest in the English blends I'd been smoking up to this point.

Of those I've only had Marlin Flake and Old Gowrie, but it's been so long since I tried them that I don't remember much. My favorite Rattray blend is Red Rapparee.
I have long wanted to try Red Rapparee. It has such a varied blend of many types of tobaccos that it seems as though it would be a real treat.
How would you describe the experience?

It's been a while since I've smoked this blend as well, though I do have two tins sitting in my cellar, so it may be time to pop one open. When I smoked it last, it quickly became a favorite of mine. I don't recall the specific's of the blend, but I found it to be very enjoyable, and good for a mid day to evening smoke. With the variety of tobacco's in the blend it did offer a complex flavor profile which made for a nice smoke. I'd say give it a try.
