I don't know anything about Danish egg shapes but the bent egg shape is extremely comfortable to smoke ... I have a Vauen 4873 bent egg and its a daily smoker for me. Just my opinion but I think they are a natural evolution of the bent billiard shape. Enjoy your new pipe immensely !
