Finished my second pipe!

I know that there are many things to improve on, but i think it looks nice. My only problem with it is that the stem proportions look off.

(pipe shaped without a lathe)

I would love to hear your thoughts!

Welcome to the forums. Thanks for sharing your creation with us.
I like your approach to rustication.
I don't feel qualified to offer an opinion on the work itself beyond saying it's a lovely piece and I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work.
Best,
-- Pat

Wow. Honestly I think it's great. I love pokers. A little flaw here and there doesn't matter unless your paying alot of $$. Looks like you put alot of work in it. I am sure it will smoke great.

The "tree bark" finish is pretty cool. You should develop that a bit more,I don't think I've seen anything quite like it. Awesome work

Wow thanks everyone! If you like the rustication then check out Fred Prieto's pipes. He is the one that inspired me to do that rustication.

Also, that wood accent is from a broken skateboard lol..

I hope to eventually sell pipes here and there

I think that's a gorgeous looking poker. Love the rustication, especially on the rim and base. And the stem color swirl choice is really cool too. Outstanding job. Can't wait to see your future pipe postings. And welcome to the forums!

Fantastic looking poker! Great job on that, can't wait to see some future work, that it is hand carved is all the more impressive.

I am not a big poker fan, but that's a great looking pipe - I like your rustication too. Nice work and welcome to the forums.
