Made a pipe roll

I kept wanting a pipe roll but I didn’t think they were worth the money. Hobby challenge! So I decided to pay a visit to a leather store. Bought a hide and some tools for $35 and voila!

Why did you choose such thick hide? Looks not easy to roll up. :-?

Wax it up, work it a bit and it'll get supple. Give it a few months of use.

Yep, like a baseball glove. We used to rub Neatsfoot Oil into our new baseball gloves to soften them up and break them in.

Sewing leather is work. Great job. The leather will soften up with work and use.
