Made a Nose Warmer.

Kind of reminds me of a Savinelli Alligator, the rustication job.

Great pipe! Looks very comfortable. I've always liked a slight forward tilt on the bowl, too.

Ive never smoked a short pipe like this. One would really have to "sip" to keep from getting the bowl heated up Id guess. What is it you all like about smoking a "nose warmer"?

Nifty pipe. I like my bowl a little further from my nose, but this one is definitely a looker! Nice finish

and integration of the short shank/stem with a generous bowl. Looks like it would be great to heft.

Thanks guys! I've been around, mostly just carving pipes. I've made a ton since I was last on here.

First of all nose warmers look cool so there's that. Second I've not noticed that short pipes smoke all that much, if any, hotter than sniper barreled jobs. Thoidly they don't seem to put smoke in your eye pans any more aggressively than a full bent does. Lastly they clench easier even if they have humongoid bowls as is popular these days although big honkin' manly man briar chunks do insure that a pipe doesn't get uncomfortable to hold even if your blend smokes like a schmear of Willie Pete.

I can barely tell any difference between a church warden and a nose warmer. Even with the slowest controlled draw, it is just moving too fast to make any difference in the temperature. YMMV
