Yeah I just wish I could get mine. . . or could ahve, I don't really even want it now.
Also -- is it like a week-long holiday in Canada? A week of checking their site every 2 hours or so to try and catch live chat up, and totally ignored e-mails and me now just trying to get a refund and paypal not being willing to open a resolution ticket to arbitrate "due to the nature of the items in question" -- I'm slowly building to actual anger and I'd rather not make it that far.

I hear ya yoru. I have felt the same way. As I said I ordered another one in jan. Directly from macqueen. The ranger I bought at pipesandcigars..On april 13 I finally got the amazing e mail that it was being shipped..and yeah I was thinking I don't even want the frigg'n thing at this point..well tomorrow is 14 working days since shipping. They say between 6-14 days to get it..wouldn't ya know it..well maybe tomorrow on day 14 day it will come????? I wish you luck with your refund! I'm surprised paypal is pulling that..its clearly not a head shop.or anything shady..keep us posted and I will let you know id I get mine or not...but yeah.the thrill is gone......hopefully that will change when it gets here...good luck

So they sent an email today with a full apology and a few points of interest -- first that they mailed it only 2 weeks late, and second that apparently the severe excess is due to Canadian customs (there can't be another reason for it to take over a month to arrive)-- and to be honest, the way this letter finally deals with it makes me feel bad for getting as peeved as I did (though I can't see a way I wouldn't have under the circumstances). They were very polite and apologetic and while I'm still peeved at the situation for what it's worth. . . I can't find a good reason to actually blame them.
What I'm getting at, is they're obviously not all bad -- just maybe if you don't live in Canada you should order their pipes from somewhere else. . .

I also ordered a pipe from this company in early january.
I just recently put in a clam with paypal as i was left with no other choice. I am empty handed and out of $50 cash.
I see I am not the only one in this boat.

Yoru I see why that made you feel as you do. And that's good. A much better place to be. It would seem to me that as new sponsor's they have possibly read our post and that's were their response is coming from. Which is still a good thing. The first response I got from them said something to the effect of our growing amount of orders have slowed us down etc... it seemed like a nice personal letter and I felt kinda bad..but then after that 2 weeks came and went and I wrote again. I got a "copy" of that same heart felt letter and then that 2 weeks came and went..I was a little disappointed to get the same heart felt letter twice on the same email. But it brings us back to what was said at the start..be more realistic or upfront about the time it takes to get the pipes. Or stop taking orders til you catch up. I am glad to hear their response was a nice one. And hopefully these post will help them out in the long run... I guess mine is stuck in customs too?? If they're sending out so many then they should also be aware of the customs issue and again change the shipping times to a more realistic time frame. Good luck and I don't mean to through a wrench in. I am however feeling a bit bitter over my own pipe...thanks for sharing.

I am in Ohio and have waited for 6 months now on a pipe that was supposed to take 8-12 weeks.I would like to add thet i had a custom made hand forged sword made in Canada and it took 5 days to get it from the day of being shipped and that is including Sunday so it would have takien 4 days.I am adding that because why does a pipe take 1 month when I can get a sword in a week.I am ready to file a claim with paypal also and I have sent them 4 emails asking for my order or a refund and they will not answer me.I will not be buying from them again and I will not buy any of their products because I am not going to support them when this is how they treat a customer whos money they have had for 6 months. The only way to teach them to treat their customers better is by not buying what they are selling then they have no choice but to take notice.

Just some info on MacQueen. Yes it is a 8-12 week wait which I understand. Its the complete lack of customer service and the lies of when things are shipped that pisses me off. Some customers have waited 7 months which is unacceptable. If its going to take longer, say so and I am sure some people wouldn't be as pissed off. But here is another email and phone numbers that may help get a hold of someone.

Kevin, thanks for the post. I already have decided to buy a couple of their churchwardens but because of all the negative comments about delivery and replacement of damaged product, I have held off. If they are interested in feedback, I for one would not be ordering anything from them until they announce what their intentions are toward improved delivery and customer service. Without an action plan in place they will continue to be just like they are now.

It doesn't seem terribly kind sir to post a man's personal information for all to see in a public forum. If this information isn't provided in relation to the business it just doesn't sit right with me to have it here. People who ordered may feel slighted but to drag a man's personal life in to the mud of things just isn't decent.
Is it reasonable to ask that the post be deleted?

Actually very good call ichbinmuede...for many years I worked in a Engineering / production for various companies and although I made recommendations on what changes they should make, its still the managements decision to change or not to change.

You're right to bring this up.

I the ifno is available to the public anywhere else it's fair game.
If it was part of a private coorespondance it should remain private.
I would like to think all here are mature enough to act appropriately with such info.
If I new negative press was being posted about my company i would do what i could to change it.

Especially on a forum that could promote my business better that most venues.
A happy client will tell 5 people, an unhappy client will tell 50.
