Mac Baren One Pound Mylar Bags

Hi everyone,
Just today. I got a pound of Mac Baren Golden Extra in the mail from P&C. How useful is the Mylar packaging for cellaring? Should I open this stuff up and put it in Mason jars now, or is it OK as is? (I know that once I open the package, I will need to jar it. I am curious about how effective the packaging is until I open it.)

I asked the same question no that long ago. Roth was kind enough to answer. The answer is yes you can cellar in the Mylar bags as long as the bag remains sealed. The one concern is that the bag might have a pin prick opening due to handling. For that reason, I decided to err on the side of caution and remove the tobacco from the bag and jar it. Better safe than sorry! I'm sure many have cellared in the bags with no problem. Up to you!

Many thanks for the information, Bobpnm. I am low on jars right now. I think I will let it go for now, then put it up in jars when I get a couple available.
