Mac Baren Cake and Flake

I have two 2 year old Stockton tins I got at the Mule Town Pipe show this year. I will be popping one of those just as soon as it cools off enough for a Bonefire.....

Ok after recently trying some HH Burley Flake, HH Bold Kentucky, and HH Virginia flakes I am liking me some Mac Baren. I now want to try a couple more tin blends. What are your favorites? Below are my considerations so looking for next 2.

Roll Cake
Dark Twist Roll Cake
Vanilla Roll Cake
Plumcake
Navy Flake
HH Latakia Flake

I like all flavors and blends except that chemical taste that seems to be in every Sutliff aromatic.

dark twist is one of those blends I don't smoke often but seem to smoke almost exclusively for a week or two at a time. I find it's really shines best when extra dry. Also find it's best not to rub it out but to fluff it up a bit by bending the coins in half and aggitating them lightly.

All the ones you mentioned are in the HH line for me that just means the straighter less cased/topped line you might want to check out the Rustica and Latakia , I tend to stay away from the other stuff besides the small Batch Burley and Stockton. I'm sure others will pipe in but apart from the HH the usual Mac's tend to bite me , might just be the bright Va.

I like Mac B pipe tobaccos, I think they deliver very good value for the money.

HH burley FL fantastic
HH Latakia FL again fantastic, but I'm not a huge lat guy anymore so it's only maybe once a week.
Golden Extra a great all day burley blend, I always have a 100 gr tin open
Symphony again a great all day VaBurCav

I will probably pop a tin of Plumcake next and maybe a Vanilla Roll Cake once I finish asome these open ones off.

As you can see I really like Mac Baren, in fact if they had some decent VaPer's in there line up I could probably just smoke MacB exclusively and be happy.

I’m a big fan of MacBaren blends…..of the roll cakes I enjoy Royal Twist, Stockton, Dark Twist, Club Blend, Roll Cake. Straight Virginias I enjoy Pure Virginia and Virginia #1
