Ordered some 1 gallon 5mil Mylar bags that came with 300cc O2 absorbers. I’ll see how that size works. My plan is to seal in original packaging so 5mil should be fine for long term.

Some people remove tobacco from the plastic baggie and put it in Mylar then back in the box for some like the 250g SG boxes, that’s a good way to do it.

I don't see why it shouldn't be bagged as is.

In fact, the less my grubby mitts are touching the tobacco, the less chance of a contaminant being transferred.

My thinking exactly. 250s and pound flake boxes go directly into mylar with the plastic still on them as soon as I get them. If there's mold on it, it ain't going to be my fault. The whole operation, including heating the clothes iron I use to seal, takes roughly 5 minutes, and there's no cleaning or anything to do.
