In my opinion lovats are the perfect shape for a pipe. Besides these and the bigger bent pipes I call my "house pipes" I can't imagine buying anything else.
Butz Choquin, new old stock from my local tobacconist.
Peterson Killarny, I took the varnish off because it smoked hot. I've noticed that some varnished Petersons do not smoke hot at all though it improve this one.
Genod with horn stem from Sebastian Beau at the Chicago show. He had sold it to a retailer after I looked at it. After expressing regret that I thought twice before buying he asked if I would buy it if he got it back. I said yes and he traded something with the guy and sold me it. You don't see horn stems being made often.
Peterson DeLuxe estate from Chicago.
Brebbia. This is my knock-around lovat.
Dunhill Shell, a very special gift.
Wessex from the Chacom table at the show. I am now in love with French and French-made pipes! One of the best values in a factory pipe in my opinion.
Thanks for looking! I hope to see plenty of lovats posted!
