As we all know, most all pipe tobacco is cased with SOMETHING (per G.L. Pease), does this mean no Black Frigate etc for LA? This sounds ridiculous, but not surprising.

Uh-huh: unless the smoker is sticking the smoke on the opposite end of the GI tract, I really can't see a connexion; but, heck, they're the 'experts', aren't they?

But it isn't just aromatics is it? I was under the impression most 'straight' blends had some topping or casing of one type or another.
If nonsense like this goes through and the deeming regulations happen it's certainly going to reduce the choice by a fair bit.

Remember, though, that while not precisely the same, fascism & Nazism went arm-in-arm against the Communists (Marxists), & Mussolini et cie, were rather dedicated (as were the Nazis) to eliminating Communism. The Comintern, in fact, held that democracy was just a variant of fascism. (Where a lot of people got the idea that communism & fascism are the same is anybody's guess, since fascism was ideologically ultra-right-wing; probably due to various misinterpretations of the word "social."). You are correct in terms of academic theory...but in reality, IMO, they are just two variations of centralized, authoritarian/totalitarian control by a cabal.

The only real difference to me is the label the cabal chooses in attempting to legitimize itself and hide the true nature of its operations.

It's all just organized crime in the real world imo. And fascism and communism are not the only names it hides behind.

I always knew that living in L.A. came with certain sacrifices. I was stationed in Long Beach for a while on my minesweeper, MSO 489, when we weren't doing endless patrols on the DMZ. Interesting people, but strange in many and various ways. (Sorry sable, you're strange in the best ways.)
