Thanks for all the kind words everyone! It's been a busy weekend for me. I covered someones shift yesterday, so I ended up working almost 13 hours. Today was really busy too.
I don't mind washing dishes. Most people don't realize it, but the dishwasher is the backbone of a restaurant. There is a finite amount of plates, bowls, etc. You can't serve food if there isn't anything to put it on.

Best advice : keep you mouth shut, learn all you can by watching others, ask questions and respect the answers given. Let your actions speak for your good habits.

I sold food for some time years back and my sales manager told me, "be nice to the dishwashers and show them some respect... they'll own the place someday."
On a side note, my son started at Red Lobster as part time prep, then got promoted to the line full time and is now training for Grill Master.
