I'm getting back into pipe smoking after some years, and looking for something with an aroma that has broad appeal but still packs a bit of a nicotine punch. From the past I remember some (aromatic?) tobaccos smelling very nice but lacking in power, whereas others were either overly harsh or smelled closer to cigarettes.
My favorite at the time was Compton's of Galashiels Macedonian Mixture. However it looks like it's discontinued, and I also now live in Asia where it probably wouldn't be easy to get anyway.
Any suggestions?
