Looking For Cedar Flavor Without Latakia

I’ve had some cigars (a while back, don’t keep track of names unfortunately) with a strong cedar flavor and I’ve absolutely loved it. Never come across that note in pipe tobacco, but would love to find it if I can.

Only thing, I don’t like Latakia or dark fired KY. I’m iffy on burley, but there are blends I enjoy it in so long as it’s not a burley bomb (save solani aged burley flake). I do love orientals though, and I’m hoping they may come through for the cedar flavor.

Any ideas??

yeah get a nice little cedar chest to put the tobacco you think needs cedar flavor. Not sure how long it takes to get the scent in the tobacco but it's one of my little tricks I've used before. Tobacco absorbs scents burly and cavandish are the most easily absorbent of them all. If it's already scented of course it won't work so great.

it works haven't done it enough to get the details ironed out. Though I do know people like cedar lined humidors for that reason.

Wilke Vice Cat and Mediterranean Nights are Oriental forward with some cigar leaf and I did get some cigar like/cedary flavor from them. Not a cedar bomb by any means but it might scratch the itch.

I recall some cedar note from SPC's Potlatch and also GLP's Haddo's Delight.

The Potlatch has a good amount of latakia in it. In fact it has just about everything in it!

I don’t hear other people mention it, but I get a distinct cedar taste as part of the flavor of Sutliff Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match.
