I collect vintage Kingfisher fishing line spools (yes, there are collectors for everything.) I would pay $10 plus shipping for an empty tin of Butera Kingfisher in decent shape just to put in the display case. Thanks.
Pete-- that's very kind of you. I will at least PayPal you postage. I will message you my mailing address.
In the meantime, here is a link to photos of my Kingfisher line spool collection from the early 1900's that I posted on Reel Talk on the Old Reel Collector's Association (ORCA)'s website. I founded the club in 1989 and we have some 800 members in a dozen countries.
I don't know anything about collecting fishing line spools but I can see right away why someone would be attracted to collecting such a thing. The art work and nostalgia it produces is captivating. Thanks for sharing!
My group of college friends had a can collector, American Beer or some nonsense, He sold it for six figures recently. It might be just a rumor as nobody seems to know for sure and doesn't want to ask. You just never know these days.
You don't have privileges to post here yet (under the four month membership requirement), but I think an interesting thread,so I'll move it to the Tobacco discussion area.
I received the Kingfisher tin today from Peteguy. It is very cool and I am very grateful. Sending him a return tin or two in the mail today. Thanks, Pete.
