Looking For a Super Strong English Blend! Suggestions?

Just like the title says, I'm looking for some of the strongest English blends known to man. I want a blend that tastes like I'm chewing on a hunk a leather and chased with a bottle of liquid smoke! A blend that makes people say things like "not for the faint of heart." The kind of blend that when you open the tin you get tears in your eyes! :twisted:

It's not an English, but the strongest tobacco I know of is Five Brothers, it is a straight Burley. Powerful stuff, do not smoke on an empty stomach. As for English, a large bowl of Nitecap gets me highly buzzed.

Thanks Baskerville! I'm writing all these down in a list.
Philobeddoe, Nightcap is good stuff, but I want stronger (flavor wise). I'm fairly nicotine resistant, the first time I tried Nightcap, I didn't notice a thing. In fact, I smoked two bowls back to back! :D

Other full flavored English blends to try would be Ten Russians or Timm's London 1000. You might like a full Balkan, like Larry's Blend in the Hearth & Home series, too.

1792 has a funky bean smell if you want stinky.

Old Ironsides and C&D's Star Of The East are two that I like.

Pirate Kake! Made by Cornell and Diehl. 70% Latakia. Your fingers will reek of this stuff when you break up the kake, and once smoked, it is a full on force of wet campfire mixed with dirty dog and old Earth with a good dose of burning leather. Your clothes, fingers, hair, the walls of the room you are smoking in, and any small animals in your path will REEK of Latakia the next day...in other words, this stuff is good! :mrgreen:

Larry's is a lovely full Balkan.

1792 has a funky bean smell if you want stinky.

I haven't tried 1792, so can offer no opinion, but it is flavored with extract of the torquin bean (I think I have that correct), which is used in a lot of the "Lakeland" blends - S Gawaith and Gawaith & Hogarth.

Ashdon Artisan's blend, Virginian and Turkish tobacco's with Syrian Latakia and a touch of Perique, the best and strongest English Mixture in my humble opinion.

Great topic. I love flavor bombs,and have considered trying the Abingdon and Larry's Blend.

I spoke with Russ at Pipesandcigars.com who also recommended their Armada.

Chime in with the others on Capt. Earles Ten Russians. As heavy as it is with Latakia it remains surprisingly smooth.

P'raps not liquid smoke strong but for huge flavor Black House should be considered.
FWIW, I too love 1792. Tonquin as a flavoring rocks!

Pretty much all the Englishes mentioned so far reside happily in my cellar. But the one that slams me when I'm wanting both flavor and Vitamin N is Bow Legged Bear.
