Great suggestions here.
3 Nuns Yellow really fits the bill.
SG Golden Glow, either Capstan, Dunhill Ready Rubbed...
Gh Scotch Cake/Flake is super mellow if you don't mind a little coco. Luxury Twist Flake is a great warm weather smoke with a hint of coconut rum or something.
You might like some English-style hot pressed blackened Virginias as well (FVF, or some k&k blends that must not be named)
Elizabethan/MatchVictoria is a VaPer that smokes like a mellow VA. Old Gowrie is in the same camp, but has a little more hair.

With Spring season in swing, I was looking for a no-nonsense golden citrusy, bread, sweet Virginia blend - perhaps with a very subtle fruit or vanilla note to enjoy with the flowers in the sunshine this spring. I went ahead and picked up a tin of MB Virginia Number 1.

The taste is wonderful and I though I had met my match - don't get me wrong, I love it - I just kind of want to kick back with the pipe and not have to think too much.

I was thinking Orlik Golden Slice ... any other fresh bready VaPers/VaOrs/ or straight Virginias out there to celebrate the fresh springtime with? Maybe a Gawith flake?

Thank you for your suggestions.
A bit confusing altogether but:

Based on the first paragraph I can't think of a more fitting blend than Capstan Gold.

Based on the second paragraph Capstan Gold is still a good recommendation but it has a little complexity that is worth exploring yet can also be ignored. Either way when it's just right it'll make you sink into your chair, relax, and say to yourself "that's the stuff".

Based on the third paragraph you're opening up entirely different vistas. Now you've gone from looking for a good, sweet, relaxing VA to entirely too many possibilities. Perique, to me, doesn't necessarily bring sweet to the table but rather plum/fig or black pepper.

Aha, I just didn’t want to discount any VA dominant blends that used condimental tobaccos in a very complimentary way like OGS, or a Flying Dutchman for ex. Really awesome suggestions all around! Stoked.

Where NY, CT & MA meet
Not to make your list longer but...

Mac Baren Navy Flake - always reminded me of a lightly sweet honey tea.
Mac Baren Virginia Flake - light vanilla fruit topping.
Wilke Lizzie Blood Red VA - VA with citrus topping.

Along with the others already listed, ones that match your criteria are Newminster 400 (honey/sugar topping) and Match Flying Dutchman (Vanilla/licorice/sugar topping).
Just smoked some Newminster this weekend while sitting out in the sun during a camping trip. Very pleasing, easy on the palate, and burns really well with little to no drying time.
