I haven't smoked everything that the pipe smoking would has to offer but I'm starting to find my favorites. My every day smoke would be MacBaren seven seas gold and for my after dinner smoke I like to go for a peach cobbler by briarworks. I think I would like to try something that's maybe like a maple syrup or maybe a nice nuttiness to it. I'm not afraid of a little bit. Any suggestions?

For me, maple = Mac Baren Dark Twist. It's not an aromatic, but the maple shines on through. It's not overtly nutty, but a wonderful curly cut in the Danish style.

The only 2 aromatics I cellar are Cult Blood Red Moon and Sutliff Molto Dolce. To be honest I don't have a lot of experience with aromatics as I was told I had to wear high heels while smoking them. Kind of not my thing.

Seriously though the Cult has a ton of flavor, is not goopy, is easy to smoke and most importantly it reminds my mom of her fathers pipe she grew up watching smoke. Molto Dolce also has a ton of flavors, but is wetter and it actually snaps, crackles and pops just like rice crispies, I shit you not. However after drying it has some intense Vanilla and Caramel flavors that are worth chasing especially because of the room note plus the shit isn't half bad if you get a sweet tooth.

In the summer of 2012 I sampled a bunch of Boswell's Aro's and enjoyed many of the flavors but the stuffed dried out my mouth something fierce and Biotene didn't do shit. I believe it was the amount of PG they use. I wanted to like them but hey somethings just don't agree wit you.

I'd take a browse through the Sutliff tinned and bulk tobacco lists at sponsor online retailers. I'm not a big aromatic smoker, but I've had some good experiences with those. I've often thought, if I were a regular aro smoker, I'd reorder this.

Mac Baren Dark Twist is what I like to try first. If there's a site where I can buy like sample sizes would help. Who know such a small community can still have a striving business behind it.

I second Wilke Vermont Maple Cavendish. I also have a jar of 7 Seas Black, and like others have mentioned, though not maple, Cult Blood Red Moon is a must-try, if you in any way like aromatics.

I third the Wilke Vermont Maple Cavendish!

Although it's described differently on the site and in reviews, I get a very similar maple-ish influence and a nuttiness and nougat experience from Wilke Surburg 71st Street. Dry it and I think you'll find it interesting and enjoy the tobacco.

I think I would like to try something that's maybe like a maple syrup or maybe a nice nuttiness to it.

The perfect choice given your request of something to try: Sutliff Maple Walnut.

As a big fan of Maple aromatic tobaccos, that's been an ongoing favorite of mine.

Other good ones in my experience:

4noggins Essence of Vermont
Cornell & Diehl Autumn Evening.
Lane Ltd. Rum & Maple
Pipeandcigars.com Scotty's Salmon River
Pipeandcigars.com Vermont Meat Candy
Rich's Cigar Store Maple Steamer
Sutliff Private Stock Maple Street
Sutliff Tobacco Galleria Rum & Maple
