I was dating my little covey of Kaywoodie pipes; and ran across an ad for the most preposterous of pipes: The Chinrester Kaywoodie.

I'm now on a mission to locate and purchase one of these beasts. However, I have not met with success in my usual methods, so I am hoping someone in the community has one they aren't too attached too!

Yep, your best bet is Ebay.

Wally Frank also use to make a "table pipe" it was basically a large chunk of briar, strategically polished with a hole for tobacco and a hookah hose.

Splendidly quirky pipe. Never even knew things like this existed. Be sure to post some pics of your quirky briar.

is it me or do both the guys in the Kaywoodie ad look like Phil Rizzuto and Justice Renquist.
I like the second design, Kaywoodie had alot of interesting inventive designs.

Wow odd shape. My next pipe is going to either be a Bulldog or one of those "chin hanging" pipes. I think Ardor (sp?) makes a lot of those models.

Ha! That's awesome. I've heard of nosewarmers, and now chinresters. Now someone needs to make a eargrabber, with hooks to hang on your ears so you can smoke hands free! :nana:

I just sold a pre-1936 UNSMOKED, pristine-condition Chinrester several weeks ago. It looked brand new, which is not bad for a 70+ year old pipe.
