Dunno. But still wondering if the tag of patriarch has now become a bad thing. It used to be used to describe benevolent, older gents of wisdom, guiding and helping out. Now I guess it just represents the old white male power structure, and so is.... bad!

Well, you know how it is, jp -- these days if you don't like actual reality you're perfectly free to redefine it to mean whatever you individually want it to! -chuckle-
I heard of one poor schnook who decided he wanted black to be white & white black, & all it got his sorry self was to get eaten by a real-world lion who was chasing a herd of zebras & didn't give a particular rat's butt about playground semantics! }:)

That’s how I feel when I drop in on the forum most of the time. By the time I read a thread, someone has already answered sufficiently.
So - Nice pipe. Atta boy. Nice score.

brevity for the sake of rational didactic profligation.
I know we've moved on here, but I'm still wondering how to briefly profligate.

There are any number of ways to be briefly profligate...it's the resulting pain that lingers though. But fortunately it's a postmodern world, so pain is only imaginary.

But Brian, if you go by Jesse's pic, it's not either postmodern *or* cubist, but Bizarro. Remember your Superman comics & Htrae??

You're absolutely correct bnichols...there can be no doubt about it based on the info you linked to...surely that's where we reside:
A Bizarro bond trader, who was cloned from a Wall Street banker, sold Bizarro bonds which were "guaranteed to lose money!"

In terms of comics I was always a Marvel fan; the Bizarro bit seemed just dumbb (pronounced "dumb-buh") toopid to me even then. But yeah, "things being how they are," I'd say the Bizarro concept has become status quo ever since [self-censored to avoid bad things }:)].
