I've tried contacting him a few times but he has not replied

I think you may well be correct,I was in touch with him quite a while back and he had been having some health issues.He has not had anything for sale on ebay for a very long time now
A pity as he was the only restorer in the UK that I know apart from estatepipeshop.co.uk in Wales
