Added this little charm of a pipe to my old Britt wood collection. First Loewe i owned. It’s pre 67, Unsmoked pipe, in the classic Apple shape. The red stain is beautiful and the color fits the shape. Thought this fit in my coll7DB80555-73AA-4828-B33A-D291392E8B5B.jpeg7CCDD412-796B-4E0C-8803-876544AD679F.jpeg5C261A44-A101-40C9-9972-6FAA9FE4C18C.jpegDA73EA21-6C9D-4030-84CC-FE720BB5A1B7.jpegection wonderfully.

Beautiful! And, unsmoked, wow!
Here is his darker, rough brother....

I like the bright stain, and that bold crisp stamp really classes up the looks. I hate it when letters are missing or faint. That's a find unsmoked.

Beauty, Chuck! Enjoy!

I've started looking for a Loewe, heaven help me. Pricey and kind of hard to find - that's all I've learned so far. But there's just something about them...

Im not sure why you don’t see them up for sale often. I had been looking for one to add to the collection. A few came up, but they were post 67, or the nomenclature was weak on them, that automatically eliminates them as a candidate in my collection I’m building. So when this one was unsmoked, and in classical Apple shape, it checked all my boxes.

Yeah, I have no standards when it comes to cosmetics/collectability (I'm just curious how they smoke), but even the beat-up Loewe's seem to go for tidy sums. And there just aren't many of them out there. I guess either they didn't produce that many pipes to start with, or people hang on to them. Or both.
Anyway, great nab! Let us know how it smokes.

Nice pipe! I smoke only Loewe pipes now, having built up a small collection of them. They are just absolute gems, you won’t be disappointed.
