Boars head makes some premium products. Can’t imagine what kind of scummy management would lead to that plant closing. Just by the German liverwurst brands, they are good.

Of course they said they were. Because they WERE.

How could they make that claim? Because the buying public assured them they were...

How did the buying public know? Because Boar's Head never stopped telling them they were.

Bears, wolves, lions, and so forth, OK. Sometimes humans are thought of as food by other creatures.

When those other creatures are too small to be seen without a microscope, though, it goes from "straightforward" scary to creepy.

Insects are pretty damned tasty. Not widely available nor consumed in S. Korea, but if you visit some Buddhist temples, they have street vendors selling stir fried grasshoppers. Damn yummy. Ants were popular among kids who will take on a dare. Ants are like eating sour drop, if raw. Then there was ever popular silkworm pupae. Stir fried then boiled. Perfect snack after the school. Let's not leave out sea pineapple. Killed, gutted, and serve while still somewhat alive. Yum! And dried and recooked sea cucumbers. I'm getting hungry. Good thing I have hotdogs in the fridge just for this kind of cravings.

Rats, cockroaches, mold on the walls.... the Boar's Head plant was full of violations. It makes you wonder what the hell people mean when they say "premium product." Just someone telling you, this brand is a premium product, make it premium?... or maybe the roaches, rats, and mold added to the flavors people loved.
We don't buy sandwich meats, we just cook meat and slice it for sandwiches, if we want one. Mostly, we just don't eat sandwiches, unless we are making some for travel.

Is limburger cheese a sandwich meat? Is it made of parts that usually get thrown away?
Wait does Liverworts smell bad?
Did this become a disgusting foods threads?
No, it’s cheese, albeit one of more pungent cheeses out there. You can eat it fresh or put it in a sealed tub and shove in the back of your fridge for a few months to let it soften up enough to become a spread. Most people can’t get past the smell tho to enjoy it lol
