I have a tin of Master Penman, but I like to let my tinned aromatics set for a long while before I pop them. I think (and this is just my own deluded illusion) that tinned aromatics tend to absorb more of the toppings with time, and allows a little more of the tobacco to shine through for a more balanced flavor. But, as I said, I have not been told this. Plus, I have so many tins, and I only smoke aromatics once in the mornings, so... it takes me a while to get to some of my aromatic options.

FWIW, I think that my five year old MacBaren's Vanilla Flake and Solani Mango Flake really tastes better than the fresh. But, YMMV

Another mild but sophisticated aromatic is from Peretti, seasonal but probably coming back around, Thanksgiving Day, with anisette, fruit and citrus cleverly combined and still somewhat tobacco forward. Doesn't bite me, and I can be sensitive to some flavorings. Received a full pkg from lasttango, so thank you!

Well, I ordered a couple ounces of LTF, and tins of Master Penman and Virginia Cream. I will get around to trying the others. Thanks again for the recommendations!

I'm surprized no one has mentioned the many Lane blends, particularly 1-Q. Another, available at only a few stores like P&C is Trout Stream, which summons up images of Hemingway fishing in the Big Two-Hearted in Michigan.

Not sure if it counts as a light aromatic, but dunhill Three Year Matured is pretty good, very mild topping that enhances the Va sweetness and doesn’t intrude too much on the natural flavors.

Okay, LTF has now become one of my favorite blends. It's both creamy and spicy and leaves a great room note! Thanks for the suggestions! I will be ordering a substantial amount of this stuff! How does it age?

I've had my eye on the Hebraica series for a while now. Most if them sound very interesting!

Might as well add Light of the Universe to the list. I like it even more, but I didn't mention it because it's not aromatic.

My lady is a Sherlock Holmes fan, so naturally she gravitated towards the Mcclelland 221-B series.

When she opened the tin of Honeydew I was immediately drawn in.

Having smoked a couple bowls of it I can say I'm a fan...and I'll probably pick up a tin or two.
Think your typical Mcclelland Virginia flake, lightly cased with a delightfully mouthwatering sweetness. It works well for my tastebuds and I'd recommend it.

Cosmic Twist! I love It! I'm definitely going to try that! Milk and Honey sounds like something I need to try as well!
