Sweet, and kudos on the photography.

I was at a vintage knickknack shop this morning scoping out where my booth will be next weekend for an ArtWalk, They had a wall of really old lighters and tobaccianna. Everything was really overpriced, but it was nice to see such a vast collection. These are head and shoulders above anything in their collection.

Mine arrived several days ago, and if it contained an adaptor for the fuel insert, I didn't find it. However, my friends at Carmel Pipe Shop fixed me up, and I am very chuffed over the purchase. Lighter works fine, has the Dupont big click, and a real flame. Good looking, weighs a ton. Could be a projectile weapon!
My model is the one on the right in Dan's photo, but without the apparent gap in one of the vertical stripes.

The adapter was loose in the box, I think.
Either way, I think that these lighter are a great deal. Time will tell. I’m tempted to buy a couple more!
The gap in stripeyness is a water drop.

Whew!
The site is still showing the model I posted above is sold out, as reported just after the purchase. It says ten were sold. Seems odd only ten.

Was it like, "Zippos suck; butanes rule!" Or you're a dolt to pay more than $5 for a lighter. Or you're a spendy sort—nay, a moron— with your Old Boy lighter, or....?

I'm a little lost, I guess I missed a deleted post?

Anyway, do any of these Chinese Duponts have an angled Flame? I like it when eBay sellers show the lighter lit, I couldn't find any of these and similar models showing flame..

Some people do not care for the angled flame lighters. I find no advantage to them. Just tilt the lighter if you want a sideways flame, right?

Yes I used to use regular lighters but found occasionally I was chatting the rim or burning my fingers. I tend to smoke outside, in the dark, with gloves on in the cold. So in the cold darkness it's hard to be very careful and much easier to set my gloves ablaze.

Update:

I’ve been using these lighters almost exclusively for the past month. They’ve been unfailingly wonderful. One strike light, very good gas regulation, and they seem to have a pretty big gas tank. I went and ordered two more, in different styles. They’re about a third again larger than the Dunhill Rollagas or IM Old Boy, but they are a pleasure to hold and use. Killer deal at $25 OTD.

Oh, no! They've upped the price! No more at $20, plus five for shipping; it's up tp $27... But without the five bucks for shipping. Robbery! But still slightly cheaper than an actual DuPont.
......So I also ordered two more.
