Light-Weight Pipe or Sitter?

Not at all

That excludes Peterson pipes. Their near lack of buttons makes them unclenchable. Straight pipes are much easier for me to clench as well.

In the past I would've said sitter (flat bottom) but now I’m in the lightweight camp.

Have a couple meer pokers on the way that are both sitters so win win. My only sitters now are a few danish free hands by various makers and while they are not feather weight they are great clenchers because of their balance.

Not a priority, but a sitter is very convenient when you want to put a half-smoked pipe down in some random place or your pipe rest is in use with the pipe you're smoking and you want a second pipe on standby ready to go.

As I'm getting older and less active, a sitter is a nice feature for sure............ I like the fact that I can set the damn thing down anywhere and then I forgot where it went...............

Amost all of mine are both. I prefer smaller pipes, and I intentionly seek out sitters because I don't really like pipe stands. I have a couple full bents that doesn't sit though.
