Yeah, but when you hear a cheery female voice announce, "Does anyone know where Mike Hunt is?" or "Mike Hunt, please report to the lobby!" or "Pick up Mike Hunt!" you can't help but feel rather cheery yourself. And she knew exactly what her announcements sounded like and was enjoying it as much as much as anyone. Except for Mike Hunt, who simply ignored it.

Two years ago, my daughter taught a boy in school whose mother called him "Shataid". On his legal papers, however, it was spelled "Shithead".
True story, sadly.

"Triumph Acclaim sports car..."
Sports car??? That's rather like calling a Trabant a luxury car
Triumph Acclaims were hopelessly slow and poorly designed rustbuckets. Same applies to the Austin Allegro.
Regards,
Jay.

Perception is different for each of us.
Where some see decay, others see a work of art.
I love the outdoors, the peace, and tranquility of it. Others dislike the outdoors and would rather marvel at the multitude of tall buildings, the countless number of vehicles, and the masses of people living lives of "quiet desperation".

Humans have an endless capacity for fooling ourselves. Opinions are neither objective nor subjective, but objectively subjective, meaning that people know only what they have the capacity, experience, inclination, temperament, etc. to think through. And so the question of cities is less clear than before. Also that of Latakia.
Others dislike the outdoors and would rather marvel at the multitude of tall buildings, the countless number of vehicles, and the masses of people living lives of "quiet desperation".
It's definitely more "human."
Now craving 965... and come to think of it, Royal Yacht. I'm halfway through a bowl of an ad hoc Va/Bur/Per made of nearly equal parts Cube Cut Burley and Irish Oak.
The thing about death metal is that it is life-affirming, but one must cross the abyss in order to see what life is. Very paradoxical, until it no longer appears that way. Quite a journey. Goes well with Royal Yacht, but I can see more Cube Cut Burley in my future.

I worked with a producer named Mike Hunt. Hilarious every time the receptionist paged him over the intercom.
I knew his brother, York.
I was told there was a young lady named Fonda Peters living in NYC, but attempts to look her up failed.

Al, I am shocked, very shocked I tell ya— In a totally o.k. way, but surprised at your level of insouciance! Keep it up!

There is a song contest in Europe called Eurovision and each year almost all of the European countries send someone to attend to the contest. In 2011 Azerbaijan sent a lady whose name was Nigar, they had to rename her as Nikki. Fortunately, she won the contest :)

Also, while living in South Korea we used to go to the information centers of the malls and ask the ladies to announce a friend's name that we had lost in the mall. The first name was always real and instead of a family name we were using a swear word from our own language. Imagine someone announcing in a mall: "Mr. John Chucha, Mr. John Chucha (chucha is the slang for vagina in Spanish) please come to the information desk."
