I don't think smoking has that sort of effect on me. I'm 26, and my wife is a 26 year old red head with an Irish accent (I win.). She has always treated my pipe smoking with mild curiosity. She has picked up a pipe from time to time, but only 3 times max in the two years I've smoked.
She's working at a Victoria's Secret these days (yes, continue to be jealous) as a stock manager. She works late, and I generally sit out on the porch with a pipe about 40 mins before she is expected home. I didn't do this one day and she scolded me for it. She told me she loves seeing me relaxed and waiting for her, and the way our porch always smells like vanilla. I even catch her smelling my shirt when she hugs me.
I don't think my pipe smoking affects my drive really though because as a 26 year old man sex drive is a non issue. I would say though man that if you think it helps tell that lady of yours.

The wife is not a red head (only her hair dresser knows for sure). And she does not approve my my "habit" even though it is just a few times a week. So I sit out on the deck or in the screened-in porch smoking in solitude overlooking the "Forever Forrest" as we call it (valley 70 feet below, creek then park land beyond). The environment is blissful and very relaxing. And here is where I occasionally remissness over past flames, some of them red heads, and find the mental state quite pleasing. And THAT is as close as I get to what either 12pups or psychpipes describes. Well, it is better to be able to window shop and not buy then to never see the windows at all... When I go back inside the house it is heartening to find that brunettes can, after all, be quite a pleasure as well!

woman companion, because of the pleasant room note. The name was a hint in that direction. I think

it is Va/Bur/Cav. At the same time, they introduced a similar blend, but with a touch of rum flavoring,

I don't know if pipe smoking enhances romance, but it's good when it doesn't impede it. Both of these

Here is my take on this. Pipe smoking is a manly type of activity (apologies to the ladies on the forum). With that said, Every time I smoke one of my pipes it makes me FEEL more like a man. There are other activities that I do that also make me FEEL like a man (hunting, building things, training horses, etc.). When I feel more like a man it raises my libido. Pipe smoking (and other hobbies) give me more in the love tank because they make me FEEL more like a man.

Hmmm...I didn't say that it makes me horny. I just think the pipe makes me feel manly which can only enhance libido. The stimulation is enhanced by a feeling of being more manly. I don't think pipe smoking in and of itself leads to sexual stimulation. I think if it did that I might want to spend some time discussing this with a therapist instead of a pipe forum!

As a young man, I could bring about an erection by thinking about smoking a pipe. I found the idea of my doing so erotic. Such paraphilias (getting turned on by something non-sexual) aren't unusual, nor are they kinky unless they substitute for sexual activity. Unfortunately as smoking a pipe became an everyday event instead of something furtive and secretive, I lost the erotic connotation.
