I am on holiday from work this week so have wasted a day listening to whats been going on and watching it on TV. As depressing as the situation here is, I like that we can have a political thread not shut down because the discussion is used as a form of comedic group therapy.

But does the Lettuce have the moral fiber to romaine on the job or will it be too roughage for him? Will he actually be able to clean out the back halls of government? Or will he, six months from now, be chopped up and saying "Et tu, Crouton?"

The odds on Boris winning have come right in. He's still 2nd favourite but his odds keep shortening and he seems to be getting some real momentum.
Even some of the MP's who said they had no confidence in him and he had to go (a mere six weeks ago) are now backing him.

Everyone wants the lettuce to be the new PM, and I'm just over here being steamed that Britain's greatest public servant, Larry the Cat, is being ignored. I thought better of the people on this forum!
