Most recent, a willow finger tamper: (I made it so I can give someone the finger)
Do you really want a picture of my index finger?.
This one is turned out of a bronze fitting from the USS Barry DD933. 
This one is piece of yellow catalin with aluminum ends. I believe @SBC has it now.

This one is an old manzanita cigarette holder I turned acrylic and aluminum caps for.
This one is amber catalin and aluminum. 
I recently cut a piece of a dried up hibiscus
root, as I was missing my usual “Made in China” aluminium pipe nail.
The top one was made by a friend in Michigan. She does some blacksmithing and made it for me, and could probably be used as a weapon. The bottom one I made to go with my Olie Sylvester Zombie meer using a 410 shot shell and a twig that I carved and painted.

I really like the forged one! That is awesome
Not sure if it technically counts as "homemade", but .50 BMG shell. Only works on 3 of my pipes though.

I have got way more than my sure of store-bought tampers but the only one I have that is handmade is the one that is at the end of my hand.
This is allegedly made from a piece of olive wood from the Holy Land. Works great as a tamper.
I make tampers from the antler tips of deer I harvest. Sometimes I will fit the ends with shell casings, sometimes not. They do a fine job.
Ive got em laying all over the house. I try to use wood scraps that are too small for anything else instead of throwing em away. And I can make them to my preferred size which I like
