I have a few shotguns, but these two are my favorites.
On top, Remington Wingmaster Bicentennial 12 ga.
On bottom, 1935 Belgium Browning A-5 12 ga.

My dad hunts with Belgium made Browning 12 gauge much like that one. Not sure of the year, but he's been hunting with it since the 1960s. He has a choke on the end of his--which a lot of people think spoils the gun, but he likes it.

He gave me a Belgium made 20 gauge when I was, what? sixteen maybe. It had the most beautiful bluing--almost purple in color. it's still at his place though. I am not hunter and the only time I hunt is with him. I always admired those guns.

I've had a lot of shotguns, but have never had more than three at one time - if I don't get on with them I move on and so do they. The only exception in terms of sentimentality is a little 80s vintage Ruger Red Label 28 gauge O/U. It is hands down my favorite of anything I've ever handled and it will never leave. It gets somewhat limited use - restricted to preserve birds over my pointer, but it is deadly and I've never shot anything better. Headed out to SD in a couple of days and really going back and forth on whether to take it - generally stick to 12 gauge on wild birds, but I'm really tempted to take it along and at least take it out once and see if I can apply a little discipline. Game time decision! Otherwise I've become a bit of a Fabarm convert with my L4S Gray Hunter semi auto in 12 gauge I got when it first came out and a recently acquired ELOS 20 gauge O/U that is pretty slick. I don't hunt waterfowl anymore and as much as it pains me to say, I could see the semi auto running away from home in favor of a 12 gauge O/U next year - we'll see.

Took the 12 and the 20! Hunted the first day with the 12 and the second with the 20. The 20 was a joy to handle and I shot it better and had some good loads - no issues with birds getting out too far (now the ones that flew right at and over my wife I passed on, lol). I thought I needed the 12 the first day because the wind was howling and maybe I did, but not so sure. People claim 20s kick more than 12s, and my 20 is a bit lighter, but to me it fits better and was noticeably more fun to carry around and shoot. Maybe I'm just getting old.
