Noice! I ordered one of those and a Lovat. Not here yet though. I’ll try to remember to post a pic when they come. I also got four of the Brushed Brown when they went on sale about a year ago.

That's a sweet cutty. I wish that was one of the shapes they were offering with no filter. I grabbed a 45 (top), 54 (left) and a 98 (right).

There's also a 190 still coming my way. The 190 I received was damaged. I called P&C customer service about it and they got one in the mail heading my way before I even shipped the damaged pipe back to them. Great price on some decent briars and outstanding customer service from P&C. Kudos to them!

I'll have to upload a pick of my Lovat (98) when I get home. It's had four bowls already, and is smoking like a champ with no break-in. I'm not a fan of bowl coatings, but Stanwell's is the most neutral one I've experienced.

I’ll just say, I love smoking Stanwell filter pipes without a filter, it has a nice open draw and gives it that kind of reverse Calabash effect! I do the same with my Savinelli’s... I never use a filter and I certainly don’t use those converters.
Good looking Pipes, fellas! Now what is taking mine so long?

I think some were filtered and others not, and the filtered were the 9 mm (most used in Europe). Some pipes on discount are 9 mm because they are a little harder to sell in the U.S. But the billiard with the band and maybe others were non-filtered, which is what I would have preferred. Of course, you can buy adaptors to replace the 9 mm filters, or smoke them with or without the filter depending on your preference, or switch off at will. I think, for new pipe smokers, filters are one of the most confusing issues. It takes a little learning to know about the various kinds, and which brands or series are unfiltered, no deep mystery but requiring attention.

Yes, all my Stanwell’s have been 9mm. Maybe they made some with 6mm?? Don’t know why they’d do that though, it would only create confusion. Maybe the 45 you purchased doesn’t take a filter?

Nice pipes fluffie. What a bargain.
I have a Chacom Renard 185 that takes a 9mm filter. I smoke it without a filter or adapter.

On top is a look at the 45 pot shaped mortise and tenon. Certainly not made to accept a filter.

Underneath is the 190 shape which is the nicest $20 new pipe I've ever laid my hands on. I bought these to use as yard pipes. I'm not sure if the pipe gods would approve of using these while mowing the lawn. They are kind of nice.
