Quite elegant! Not my cuppa, but well executed.

You really need these displayed in the Smithsonian. All of them are stunning. Have you ever smoked the Russian?
Thanks!!!

Yes, I've smoked the Russian, but it's a recent acquisition. Vladimir Grechukhin makes superb smokers. His engineering is perfect for me.

I haven't smoked the Ceylonese nor Ottoman pipes. They are simply on display. I believe that the pipe from Ceylon had actually previously been displayed in the 1950s in an Australian pipe "museum" in an Adelaide pipe shop. The owner was a prominent collector at that time.

“the last pipe maker still in Canada with roots that go as far back as Brigham.“

neat! I’d never heard of Blatter & Blatter until now. But what about Julius Vesz in Toronto?

Well, what about him? I'd like to know as I bet others would.

The author of post #37 said Blatter and Blatter is the last remaining pipe maker in Canada, but I was asking him what about Julius Vesz. He’s 87 years old and has Been making pipes in Canada Since 1959.
I had the good fortune of meeting him and spending time in his Toronto shop just a week ago. It was so neat! Here’s his website: Tobacco Pipes | Julius Vesz Pipes - https://www.veszpipes.com/

Wow! Not that this pipe is my cuppa, but what a find! (For the many of us who did not know of his existence.) This one is a grand, but there are several lines and price points somewhat lower!

There are other artisans in Canada, among them, Stephen Downie and Michael Parks. Both have talent enough to make you weep.
