They don't have maker's marks on them, but I assume they are made for export. One is stamped "Bamboo Briar - Made In Spain" and the other just "Spain".

They both smoke just fine. I like the larger bowl of the Alligator.

Germany - MA Birinci



This meerschaum pipe was carved by a Turkish man named Mehmet Ali Birinci who lives and operates his business from Germany (The word "meerschaum" is German for "sea foam"). Although there are no maker stamps, I acquired this directly from him. This is an interesting Turkish/German collaboration being a meer that is also 9mm filtered. (filters are generally regarded as a European thing)


Canada - Blatter & Blatter



This pipe was produced in Montreal at the Blatter & Blatter studio - the last pipe maker still in Canada with roots that go as far back as Brigham. On the stummel, it is stamped "Blatter Montreal" and the pipe is indeed made in Canada.
